Stumbled on this little Spa. Excellent value. Very therapeutic and totally relaxing. Only reason The staff was very friendly and the reservation was smooth, and to my surprise they accept American Express with a commission.
The location is very accessible walking. It is one of the best massages that I have taken, thanks for Delia who at all times was attentive to my needs. The room is not luxury but when the massage started you forget everything! We greatly appreciate your opinion, it was a pleasure to assist you and we wish you to continue enjoying more incredible experiences in our beautiful country. The massage and the staff were great. And I'll say up front that I was pleasantly surprised they took visa for an added fee.
The entrance was just a single unadorned doorway leading down a short hallway, but the lobby area inside, while small, was very nicely decorated and inviting. I appreciated that they had an actual modern glass door at the end of the hallway - the only one I saw in all the historic district - which kept out the draft though a space heater would have been welcome.
Where they lost points in my book was the actual massage space. It was a dingy, very cramped room maybe 8x That might normally be okay for a single table, but this space was shared with two other tables that were close enough to reach out and touch except for the flimsy curtain separating them. Worse, the curtain didn't extend around the end of the table. So imagine my surprise as I lay practically naked and they open the door to the room just inches from my feet and show in another client to undress and lay down at the next table.
This made it very hard for me to relax for the rest of the massage. Note: since there was no place to hang or store my clothes, not even room for a chair to set them on, I had laid them on that bed assuming no one else would be using it. Thus they had to move my stuff to the third table. Luckily a third client did not walk in. The other criticism I had, which may just be the style in Mexico as it happened in another spa the next week, is that after they cover you with oil they don't bother to wipe it off.
